Moving Up…

When Charlotte first came to us as a potential buyer she was in her twenties, single, and considering buying her first home. The daughter of a former client, she had very specific requirements. She wanted a centrally located Cambridge property with investment potential, but she had limited financial resources and needed to work within the constraints of a subsidized lending program for first time buyers. And as a young person focused on developing her professional career, she realized that she needed a home in “move in” condition – she couldn’t take on an ambitious renovation project.

We first connected Charlotte with a sympathetic mortgage broker, to help her navigate the intricacies of the loan application and approval process. Then we began scouting for properties that met her criteria for location, quality and character, and cost. After a rigorous search we found just the right place: a top floor unit in a well maintained pre-war building near Central Square, a compact one-bedroom condominium that came with a coveted dedicated parking space.

“Lindsay and Lisa took care of me as though I was one of their own, showing me properties in well-managed buildings with strong associations and guiding me through the entire process, from the initial search through final closing. Although I was only buying a small condo, they treated me with the same seriousness and respect as their clients who purchase multi-million dollar properties.”
