The May Group is a small, full-service residential real estate practice based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We represent buyers and sellers throughout the greater Boston metro region, with a focus on Cambridge and surrounding communities. We are independent and woman-owned and built upon the Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty brand.
Real Estate With a Human Touch
Ask almost anyone to define “real estate” and they’ll give you the same answer: property. Buildings and land; buying and selling; big, complicated transactions. At The May Group, we see things a little differently. For us, the definition of real estate is people. People living their lives, growing and changing, transforming houses into homes, building wealth and independence. It is about people sharing experiences, making memories, coming together, and celebrating.
When you focus on people first, the business of real estate shifts and becomes truly meaningful. The buildings and land, the buying and selling, and all the thousands of details involved in every real estate transaction are like the pieces of an intricate jigsaw puzzle. Poured out of the box onto a table they seem impossibly complicated. Putting them together is challenging and occasionally frustrating, but also infinitely satisfying. And when you are done you’ve created a beautiful picture. (Pro tip: start at the edges, and try to keep the cats off the table!)

The May Group’s founder and leader, Lisa has built her career around commitment and care. Since getting her start two decades ago as a protégé of legendary Cambridge realtor Lindsay Allison, Lisa has risen to become one of the city’s top realtors. Along the way she earned a reputation for her abilities and compassion, offering a deeply personal, people-focused approach to her residential real estate clients.
“I see myself not only as your expert advisor and exclusive agent,” Lisa says, “but as your partner and friend.” Lisa provides the critical analysis and services required to prepare your home for sale and position it strategically in the market, or to help you find and purchase the right property at the right price. She ensures that your transaction moves smoothly through all its many phases, with every “t” crossed and “i” dotted. But even more important, she’ll be there for you throughout, helping you through the difficult parts and celebrating the good times, from the first conversation until the deal is finally done.
Lisa lives in Belmont and on the coast of Maine with her husband Tevere, a retired museum exhibition designer, and her beloved tabby cats Amos and Annabelle. She is the proud mom of two wonderful young men, Christopher and Sam, and an avid gardener. Clients and colleagues have learned to expect surprise bouquets of some of the fifty or so varieties of dahlias she grows every summer.
Abby Clutz
Abby began her real estate career as a Marketing Coordinator for the Cambridge office of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty. An expert rider and horse owner, she’ll admit that, at first, she was just trying to support her passion for riding, but she soon discovered a passion and a talent for real estate. She joined The May Group in 2017 and quickly became indispensable, engaging with all aspects of the business, from operations to buyer agency, to listing coordination and rentals. Like both of her TMG colleagues, Abby happily jumps in wherever and whenever she’s needed. She especially enjoys applying her digital marketing savvy, optimism, and enthusiasm to helping her Millennial peers navigate the real estate market.
Abby grew up in Weston and graduated from the College of Charleston. An avid traveler, Abby spent a semester in Argentina, has traveled throughout South America, and spent a year teaching English in Bilbao, Spain. Her curiosity and passion for learning about new places have also resulted in her developing friendships with other Sotheby’s agents from around the world.
When Abby has a free moment, she can still be found riding her thoroughbred “Hey Jude”. 3-Day Eventers, Abby and Jude, have been their own team for 16 years, starting when she was in middle school and he was just 3 years old. She lives in Medford with her husband, Pedro.
